“Cook Food Special’ Stanislaus comes home at 2-1

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The change of equipment from old and worn pots to new and shining Dutch pots made the difference on New Year’s Day for Dr Paul Wright’s ‘Cook Food Special’
Tearing down the 5-straight course little used jockey Ryan Nelson brought home Stanislaus to victory at odds of 2-1.
Stanislaus took the $350, 000 - $300,000 event in a time of 1:00.1. The winning margins were 3 lengths by a nose.
Second was Milagro (Chris Mamdeen) at 10-1 odds with third going to Peeping Tom at 6-5.
