KINGSTON, Jamaica – Luminous Power set the cats amongst the pigeons especially players of the Reggae-6 and Pick-9 wagers winning the first of nine races on today’s Saturday (January 2, 2020) race day at Caymanas Park at searing odds of 11-1.
Ridden by Osive Donegal and trained by Cashbert Khwalsingh, Luminous Power shot to the lead from the off and stayed on strongly in the straight to earn his third win from 24 lifetime starts.
Second at odds of 25-1 was Alexa’s Star (Samantha Fletcher), which gave Khwalsingh a one-two finish in the event.
Third was Lady Budget (Youville Pinnock), who started at odds of 5-1.
The 3-2 favourite Sharp Skirt got a woeful start and was never a factor in the outcome of the race.
