KINGSTON, Jamaica – After a lengthy stretch tussle involving Herecomestheboss (Oshane Nugent) and Luminous Power (Osive Donegal) it was the latter who held sway at the winning line to start off the eight race Sunday (Oct 11) programme at Caymanas Park.
Herecomestheboss trained by Fitzgerald Richards running at odds of 5-1 won a Restricted Allowance 4 call for five-year-olds and upwards – non-winners of three, travelling five furlongs round.
Nugent pushed Herecomestheboss to the lead followed by Luminous Power when they were released from the gates.
In the straight, Herecomestheboss and Luminous Power were almost glued together for the entire two furlongs of the stretch drive with the former just getting the nod close to home.
Luminous Power at odds of 7-1 was second and Strikinglygorgeous (Natalie Berger) third.
The exacta paid out a whopping $6,427 and one lucky punter captured the Hi-5 collecting $86,290.
