KINGSTON, Jamaica – Having raced so many times and always in the frame and having earned over $1.2 million, Cold Pursuit was able by a short head to earn his first victory a short while ago as the first of 11 races at Caymanas park (Sat, Sept 19) got rolling.

Racing in a five-furlong straight contest for three-year-old maidens, Cold Pursuit ridden by Phillip Parchment and trained by Wayne DaCosta, and coming from the prohibitive number one draw, as is usually the case came with a late kick to tag prominent and then leader Big Big Daddy (Robert Halledeen) on the line.

Third went to Rose for Elle (Aaron Chatrie).

The winning time recorded was 1:00.3
