KINGSTON, Jamaica – The seventh event on Sunday (September 25, 2022), is a three-year-old (non-winners of two) for local horses and a maiden for foreigners going five furlongs.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S analysis is offered below.
– ONE LIKE IT is a chestnut colt (January 28) by Deputy Glitters out of Sandbath trained by Gresford Smith with Dane Dawkins aboard. Did well when making her non-two entry, finishing third, 1 ½ lengths behind El Cid and G T Boy at 6 ½ furlongs. Having the benefit of that experience, One Like It is poised for win number two. Note, that One Like It races with the visor off.
– KP CHOICE is a bay colt (March 10) by Nasheet out of Drop Them trained by Keffin Murray with Aaron Chatrie aboard. Coming along and will be successful but not on Sunday,
– DEVONTE is a grey colt (April 8) by Fearless Vision out of Eighteen Karat trained by Maurice Crooks with Chalrick Budhai. Devonte races for her new trainer having been claimed and now must wait.
– FREEDOM STREET is an imported in-utero bay gelding (April 17) by Uncaptured out of Nofashionsense trained by Patrick Lynch with Tevin Foster aboard. Enters non-winners of two for the first occasion. He will gain from the experience. Note, that Freedom Street races with the blinkers on.
– AWESOME PRINCE is a bay colt (May 8) by Vancouver out of Awesome Lucy trained by Steven Todd with Shane Ellis aboard. Has been finding his way in this grouping. Awesome Prince was off the boil 14 days ago with the sloppy track not aiding his cause. Now, he is better prepared and will have a say in the outcome.
– NOBLE IMPULSE is a chestnut colt (June 26) by Midnight Hawk out of Herroyalhighness trained by Anthony Nunes with Reyan Lewis aboard. Noble Impulse has not done a lot since entering this class and will have to wait for further success.
– JUNGLE BOOGIE is a bay colt (April 14) by Soul Warrior out of Ashley Call trained by Anthony Nunes with Carlos Blake aboard. Jungle Boogie is making an entrance into non-two and will learn.
– PIP is a bay colt (March 27) by Perfect Curlin out of Noon It Is trained by Anthony Nunes with Anthony Thomas aboard. Note, that Pip races with the figure eight off. Pip has not lived up to expectations since campaigning in this grouping but has an outsider’s chance of winning.
– JAGUAR is a chestnut colt (January 11) by Berlino Di Tiger out of Bubbling Angeline trained by Rowan Mathie with Dick Cardenas aboard. In and out in this grade. Which Jaguar will turn up on Sunday is a waiting effort?
