KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fourth race on a star-studded 10-race Jamaica Day programme is for three-year-olds (non-winners of three) at 6 ½ furlongs.

Three and four-year-olds local and foreign-bred horses (non-three) are also eligible to enter.

Ten horses are entered with The Quick Galloper analysis provided below.

1 – HOWILOOKIN is a bay colt (February 12) by Western Classic out of Gold Charm. Learning his way in this grade.

2 – TALONA is a dark bay filly (April 27) by Bayern out of To My Delight. Talona steps up in class being a non-winner of two races. Will have to wait. Note, Talona races with the tongue tie off.

3 – ALEXA’S SECRET is a chestnut filly (February 26) by Sensational Slam out of Alexa’s Song. Was a close winner on last and now steps up to non-three. Will have to catch the rhythm of the new environment.

4 – BUGATTI is a bay colt (March 24) by Casual Trick out of Charmin Diaz. A genuine non-winner of four campaigner, who is coming to grips with this level. Even so, Bugatti will have to wait.

5 – TEKAPUNT is a bay gelding (February 25) by Northern Giant out of Just A Flutter. Taking his time to assimilate to racing since his return after a long break. The best hope is a place in the top four.

6 – SILENT MISSION is a late non-starter.

7 – LUKSOL is a bay filly (March 2) by Tapiture out of Stunning Taste. Lost by a short-head two weeks ago, and is proving to be a difficult horse to follow. Luksol will win a second race but not on Jamaica Day.

8 – AWESOME RICH is a bay colt (April 30) by Northern Giant out of Awesome Camille. Can manage these right now.

9 – SLAMMER is a bay colt (March 7) by Savoy Stomp out of Fedora. Returned from a break of close to a year and dully showed his class by winning his second race from five starts. Slammer has since that win progressed nicely at exercise and is as fit as a fiddle.

10 – LACRIMAE is a grey filly (March 10) by Savoy Stomp out of Pleasant Ending. Finished a close third behind Yellowstone and Luksol on October 30 at 5 ½ furlongs. Then Lacrimae was running one making the extra furlong of this contest an added bonus to her winning credentials.
