KINGSTON, Jamaica – Ten horses are listed to start in the seventh race on Saturday, June 18, 2022. This event is for three-year-old maidens at five furlongs straight.
The following is THE QUICK GALLOPER’S assessment of the 10 to face the starter.
1 - NOA LI is a bay filly (April 10) by Forest Danger out of Celine trained by Anthony Nunes with Linton Steadman in the saddle. This filly has prepared well for her first engagement and is thought of by many to have a good look in. Noa Li will be hindered by the one draw in this straight contest. Note, Celine has already produced Qurandero.
2 – FLIGHT TIME is a bay colt (May 14) by Bern Identity out of Blast Off trained by Wilfred Chin with Dane Dawkins in the saddle. The shift from Andre Martin to Dane Dawkins is noticeable. Flight Time was expected to be more effective last weekend but did not show up for work. With lesser opponents on Saturday, Flight Time should have lift off on Saturday.
3 – GT BOY is a dark bay gelding (June 21) by Here Comes Ben out of Rejected Slew trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Show a glimpse that he is coming to hand just 27 days ago. GT Boy has as good a chance of winning in this contest.
4 – FRIENDOFTHEFAMILY is a grey gelding (April 27) by Here Comes Ben out of Win Bracelet trained by Junior Small with Oshane Nugent in the saddle. Can be safely bypassed.
5 – MUZZO is a bay colt (May 22) by Savoy Stomp out of Saint Cecelia trained by Spencer Chung with Aaron Chatrie in the saddle. Coming along well but is not ready yet. Note, that Saint Cecelia has already produced Sea Swan, Attorney General, and Mum.
6 – SUGAR DADDY is a chestnut colt (April 8) by Traditional out of I Have A Dream trained by Patrick Lynch with Raddesh Roman in the saddle. Coming along and may hit the board. Note, Sugar Daddy races with first-time Lasix.
7 – LOVE DUB is a bay filly (April 15) by Sensational Slam out of Iamallaboutthebest trained by Gary Subratie with Andre Powell in the saddle. Needs time.
8 – NIKITA B is a bay filly (March 19) by Deputy Glitters out of Osada trained by Phillip Lee with Christopher Mamdeen in the saddle. Not ready yet.
9 – TIGRAY is a bay colt (April 23) by Traditional out of Kiri trained by Patrick Lynch with Daniel Satchell in the saddle. Needs time.
10 - MELMICH is a chestnut filly (February 14) by Sparrowhawk out of Miss Polly trained by Lorenzo Robinson with Prince Holder in the saddle. Finally showed something of worth when finishing third on her last run 21 days ago. With this exposure, Melmich is poised for a better effort. Note, Miss Polly has already produced Only Begotten Sun, Touring With Rhea, Smarty Kaihu, Kabrina, Lazza, Big Machine Links, Polly Flyer, and Free Polly.
