KINGSTON, Jamaica – Twenty-one three-year-old fillies have been provisionally entered in the 2024 edition of The Portmore, a Grade 11 event slated for Saturday, May 4, 2024.
The Portmore, a seven-and-a-half-furlong contest, has attracted some of the top contenders in the division. Leading the charge is Banadura, the talented trainee of Jason DaCosta.
Banadura comes into the race with a formidable reputation, having already secured victories in the Hotline and Thornbird Stakes. She will shoulder the maximum weight of 126 lbs.
Close behind is O So Smart, the filly conditioned by Steven Todd. O So Smart will carry 119 lbs.
