KINGSTON, Jamaica – The longest event for two-year-olds – six furlongs – takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Caymanas Park.
The race has attracted seven starters with two being first-timers.
Below is the analysis of the seven starters.
1 - ROARING THUNDER is a grey colt April 16) by Speith out of Little Thunder trained by Gary Griffiths with Shane Ellis scheduled to ride. Has not exited in the mornings and will learn.
2 – WHIZZ KIDD is a bay colt (April 19) by Northern Giant out of Mayken Joy trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen in the saddle. Note, Whizz Kidd races with the cheekpieces on. Whizz Kid is the most experienced in the line-up with four starts to his credit. Whizz Kidd is coming to come and probably gets the right opportunity to get off the mark, especially after showing the tendency to run in his races.
3 - MODERN MIRACLE is a chestnut colt (January 2) by Hedge Fund out of Sound of Miracle trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster aboard. Clockers are reporting that Modern Miracle is quite a good looker, who has caught the eye at exercise. Many are expecting Modern Miracle to get off the mark, the first time of asking.
4 – SHE’S MY HEDGEFUND is a chestnut filly (March 3) by Hedge Fund out of Thisgirlisonfire trained by Jason DaCosta with Omar Simpson aboard. Note, She’s Myhedgefund races with the blinkers on. Makes a quick turnaround racing just six days ago. The learning process for She’s Myhedgefund continues Saturday.

6 – DUROCELL is a chestnut filly (April 17) by Soul Warrior out of Savanna’s Smile trained by Patrick Fong with Dick Cardenas in the saddle. Made her debut just six days ago, finishing 11 lengths behind runaway winner Mama Mia. Having got her hoofs into the racing sand, Durocell will have enough power to put in a serious challenge.
