KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 6-5 favourite Zion got the 11-race offering today (June 25) at Caymanas Park off to an expected start for the majority of bettors.
Zion trained by Marlon Anderson with Phillip Parchment in the saddle shot to the front in the four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two races) at a mile, and was never in danger of losing thereafter.
Traditional Boy (Dane Dawkins) came from behind to challenge in the final to earn the second spot with Another Champion (Anthony Thomas) third.
For trainer Anderson, Zion was his sixth win this year from 55 starters, and for Parchment, it was his ninth from 107 mounts.
