KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Two-Year-Old Juvenile Sprint to be run on Saturday, October 5, the first day of the Superstakes weekend (Saturday October 5 and Sunday, October 6) provides the perfect opportunity for the two-year-old leader, Wow Wow to win his fourth race of the season.
Seven juveniles participate in the event which carries a total purse of $2 million. The distance is 6 ½ furlongs which is the longest the young ones are travelling thus far this season.
The analysis of the horses and their chances of winning are offered below.
CASH IS KING: (2-y-o ch c - Liquidity – Abicadabby) – A winner first time out over four furlongs straight beating Money Monster. Money Monster then returned to win impressively shortly after thereby boosting the stocks of Cash Is King. It might be asking a bit much of Cash Is King to step in distance so quickly but with two-year-olds one never really knows how they will react. NOTE Cash Is King races with Lasix for the first time.
TOMOHAWK: (2-y-o- b c – Natural Selection – Preach Preacher) – Won on debut but was pulverised by Wow Wow on last and that won’t change on Saturday.
OLDE WHARF: (2-y-o- b c – Bridled Quest – Mom Rules) – Making up numbers here.
KHOLBEAR: (2-y-o- b c – Casual Trick – Woman Is Boss) – Has done nothing in his two races to date to make any suggestion that he is capable of winning. NOTE races with the visor.
ELITIST: (2-y-o gr f – Northern Giant – Khadilah) – Cannot manage these.
WOW WOW: (2-y-o- b c – Casual Trick – Sarah Barracuda) – Gave a truly remarkable display when winning the 5 ½ furlongs Bearings and Accessories Trophy two weeks ago in an eye popping time of 1:05.1. There is no doubt that Wow Wow is the leader among the juveniles and he should not be challenged on Saturday as he seeks another $1 million pay day.
ANOTHER AFFAIR: (2-y-o ch f – Nuclear Wayne – Commandra Affair) – Well-bred but far from being ready.
