KINGSTON, Jamaica – Racing with the blinkers off Sebastian with the in-form Javaniel Patterson in the saddle came good in the Caymanas Saturday fifth, which was a contest for claiming horses ($750,000 - $700,000) travelling 7 ½ furlongs.

Sebastian, who was racing for the second time under the care of trainer Gary Subratie after being claimed, moved from the outside draw to be close to the early leaders Azaria (Dick Cardenas) and the even money favourite Purple Wayne (Shane Ellis).

In the straight, Sebastian challenged on the outside with Azaria fading a bit, so too Purple Wayne, as Salah (Robert Halledeen) started to make progress on the inside rails.

But it was Sebastian who held strong to win by two lengths, with Salah second and Purple Wayne third.
