KINGSTON, Jamaica – The three-year-old maidens continue their career trek with another contest on Sunday, April 9, 2023, this time at six furlongs.
Ten maidens are entered in what is the sixth call on the day, with The Quick Galloper providing the analysis below.
1 – EAZY PEAZY is a bay colt (February 22) by Casual Trick out of Baby P trained by Richard Azan with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Lightly raced colt, who is slowly coming to hand, and with progress in the mornings, a good effort is expected from Eazy Peazy. Note, Eazy Peazy races with first-time Lasix.
2 – SUPERIO is a bay colt (March 27) by Soul Warrior out of Ashtrid trained by Ian Robert with Calvin Bailey aboard. Racing for the first time with nothing of significance emerging from morning reports.
3 – MR. FETE is a chestnut colt (April 9) by Bold Conquest out of Come Dance With Me trained by Anthony Nunes with Linton Steadman aboard. Tries the bend for the first in his two-race career. Mr Fete has been progressing at exercise, with proven consistency can visit the winners’ enclosure for the first time.
4 – ROARING THUNDER is a grey colt (April 16) by Speith out of Little Thunder trained by Gary Griffiths with Nicolas Hibbert aboard. The most experienced of this lot with 10 races already in his hoofs. Roaring Thunder’s form is in and out, yet this is the best opportunity he has of making it win number one.
5 – SLAM DUNK is a bay colt (March 9) by Sensational Slam out of Akela trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins aboard. Caught the eye on his lone outing on March 8. Since then Slam Dunk has been showing up prominently.
6 – KINDRED SPIRIT is a chestnut colt (April 25) by Key To Power out of Wings of Hope trained by Anthony Nunes with Youville Pinnock aboard. The learning curve continues for Kindred Sprint.
7 – JACK DANIEL is a chestnut colt (March 1) by Soul Warrior out of Antioch trained by Keffin Murray with Jawani Forbes aboard. Will not have a drink in this one.
8 – PHENOMENAL ONE is a chestnut colt (March 31) by Lion Tamer out of Darlin trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen aboard. Has failed to live up to the early expectations of his connections. Phenomenal One in his last entry (April 1), got over his bad habit of being slow out of the gates, and was actually up with the leaders for a while, before dropping off. Which Phenomenal One will appear on Sunday, only time will tell.
9 – CALIFORNIA GOLD is a bay colt (April 6) by Lion Tamer out of Blue Saphira trained by Patrick Lynch with Javaniel Patterson. Has been slowly finding his way after three career starts. Slowly, finding his way. Will hit the board.
10 – COSMIC FORCE is a bay colt (April 7) by Savoy Stomp out of Kipling Weekend trained by Philip Feanny with Bebeto Harvey aboard. Can be considered to be a consistent sort, who will appreciate the increase in distance having finished second at four furlongs on last while running on. Cosmic Force has every chance of winning.
