KINGSTON, Jamaica - The sixth race on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, is a two-year-old maiden special weight exclusively for fillies.

Six juveniles are entered to compete over five furlongs round, all racing for the first time.

The Quick Galloper’s take on the possible outcome is provided below.

1 - GIANT VIGOROUS is a bay filly (June 9) by Here Comes Ben out of Glorious Cause, trained by Rowan Mathie with Rudolph Paige in the saddle. So far, from her two outings, Giant Vigorous has struggled to perform. This trend seems likely to continue.

2 - MARGARITA is a chestnut filly (April 19) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Casual Drink, trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins riding. She deserves serious consideration as the combination of trainer Subratie and jockey Dane Dawkins is currently in excellent form. Margarita is well-bred and has been working impressively in morning training.

3 - SPARKLING FIRE is a bay filly (April 16) by Bold Conquest out of Awesome Camille, trained by Rudolph Hardial with Romario Spencer aboard. Coming from a speed pedigree, Sparkling Fire has also caught attention with her morning spins. Onlookers agree that Sparkling Fire is a contender to keep an eye on.

4 - SOCIAL AVIATOR is a chestnut filly (May 4) by Bold Conquest out of Classy Aviator, trained by Jason DaCosta with Tevin Foster holding the reins. Social Aviator has been moving well in workouts and stands a good chance of winning in her debut.

5 - RILEY J is a bay filly (February 16) by Soul Warrior out of Hail De Cat, trained by David Powell with Calvin Bailey aboard. This filly has shown promise during her exercise sessions, although observers believe she’ll find success in due course.

6 - NATIVE FLYER is a bay filly (March 25) by Successful Native out of Polly Flyer, trained by Steven Todd with Raddesh Roman as the designated jockey. The leading rider’s presence enhances Native Flyer’s appeal. After one outing, she finished fourth ten days ago behind Enthusiasm.

7 - LINGUIST is a bay filly (February 5) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Bilingual, trained by Anthony Nunes with Omar Walker in the saddle. This filly is from a speed line and is a half-sister to Legit Boss and Undisclosedlocation. Linguist has shown sharpness in training, recently breezing her last gallop on December 17 in 1:01.2, indicating she's ready for competition.

8 - CASUALLY YOURS is a bay filly (February 26) by Casual Trick out of Unpredictable, trained by Michael Marlowe with Ismael Valaquez riding. She has underperformed in her two outings to date, and no change is anticipated.

9 - LADY BABITA is a chestnut filly (February 1) by Soul Warrior out of Lady Abhijita, trained by Matthew Williams with Reyan Lewis aboard. Coming from a strong lineage, Lady Babita has impressed clockers in the mornings and is expected to play a pivotal role in the race outcome.
