KINGSTON, Jamaica - The 2024 two-year-olds prepare to compete over the longest distance thus far in the fourth race on Saturday, December 21, as part of the annual Andrw H B Aguilar Memorial Cup.

This one-mile event features a modest field of six participants.

Below is The Quick Galloper’s analysis of the potential outcomes.

1 - MINEOLA is a bay filly (March 5) by Casual Trick out of Sweet Trail, trained by Jason DaCosta, with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Notably, Mineola races with a tongue tie. This filly is making her third start. After a disappointing opening race, Mineola secured second place going 5 ½ furlongs, finishing 6 ¾ lengths behind Kimuchi, fading in the final furlong. The distance increase raises some concerns, yet the quality of the competition is questionable, giving Mineola a solid chance to break her maiden.

2 - ALTHIA is an imported in utero bay filly (February 12) by Fort Loudon out of Trust In Truth, trained by Gordon Lewis, with Phillip Parchment riding. She is not yet ready for a winning performance and requires additional development.

3 - ATILA is a bay filly (May 9) by Sunshine N Shadow out of Peace By Peace, trained by Fitznahum Williams, with Samantha Fletcher aboard. Exercise reports indicate that Atila is improving but still needs to wait for a better opportunity to shine.

4 - PRINCE KAZAIRE is a late non-starter.

5 - MIRACLE SENSATION is a bay colt (March 9) by Midnight Hawk out of Sparkling Michaela, trained by Oral Hayden, with Prince Holder as the assigned jockey. As a newcomer, he will need time to acclimate before showing his worth.

6 - SIMPLY ENCHANTING is a chestnut filly (March 24) by Soul Warrior out of My Elle Belle, trained by Oral Hayden, with Raddesh Roman aboard. She is the most seasoned competitor in this group, with four starts to her name. Making steady progress, she could play a significant role in the exacta wager.
