The Quick Galloper returns to the 2023 St Elizabeth Distaff and the final placings to assess the progress or lack thereof of the eighth horses that competed.
This report is done in finishing order.
FIRST - DESERT OF MALIBU: This foreigner has since the 2023 St Elizabeth Distaff firmly established herself as the top racer in the land. Desert of Malibu has produced several outstanding performances and is the clear-cut favourite for this year’s six-furlong Port Royal Sprint scheduled for next Saturday (November 9). The main objective for Desert of Malibu is the rich Mouttet Mile.
SECOND - BABYLIKE: Put in a good shift in this event, but has not gone on to develop as expected. Still hanging around with a victory here and there.
THIRD - SISTREN TREASURE: Went into a long hibernation period during which her efforts were underwhelming. Revived her career with a good win recently to underscore that there is still some potential in her hoofs.
FOURTH - AMERICAN TAP: Started her local career with some good performances but has been retired from competitive racing.
FIFTH - OUTBIDDER: Has never reached the heights expected and has been retired.
SIXTH - RING CHARMER: Has made little or no progression since.
SEVENTH - RANI BANGALA: Still around trying.
EIGHTH - LUKSOL: Not heard from or seen recently.
