KINGSTON, Jamaica – After two favourites won the first two races on the Caymanas Wednesday card, the upsetter came in the third in the form of Whatever at odds of 11-1.

Whatever gained his fourth success from 54 career starts in an optional claimer ($250,000 - $200,000) going nine furlongs and 25 yards.

In yet another display of his prowess at two turns, Steadman kept Whatever off the pace set by 3-5 favourite Devine Lexie (Kiaman McGregor).

Down the backstretch it was still Devine Lexie who was then challenged by General Mubaraak (Romario Spencer). General Mubaraak took over in the final part of the home turn with My Mom Juss (Chris Mamdeen) and Whatever getting closer.

In the final two furlongs in was a straight fight between My Mom Juss and Whatever but in the final half-a-furlong Steadman prevailed by three-parts of a length.

Isotope (Robert Halledeen ) finished third.

Whatever is trained by Paul Charlton.
