What Did We Learn From The Mouttet Mile Race Day

STARTING GATES

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Mouttet Mile Race Day has grown into an exhilarating event, attracting participants and spectators from all corners to witness the excitement of horse racing.

In this article, The Quick Galloper highlights valuable insights from this race day.

1 – With increased prize money, the eleven races featured larger-than-average fields compared to other race days. The third race, a two-year-old maiden call, had the smallest line-up with seven runners.

2 – The day's only claiming race was the fourth event, a one-million-dollar claimer.

3 – There was just one late non-starter on the 11-race card: horse number two in the Mouttet Mile, Blue Vinyl. Caymanas Park's race cards are typically filled with late non-starters.

4 – The current top jockeys, Reyan Lewis and Dane Dawkins, did not secure any wins on the day.

5 – It's noteworthy that none of the eleven races on Mouttet Mile Race Day were run down the five-straight chute.

6 – The Mouttet Mile Race Day demonstrated that races on a regular race day can indeed start on time, with two events broadcast live on Fox Sports.

7 – The top four finishers in the Mouttet Mile were Rough Entry in first place, followed by Ability, Mamma Mia, and Is That A Fact. The latter three are all three-year-olds, indicating a promising future for horse racing.

8 – Considering such a significant racing event, top jockeys had multiple mounts. Perhaps limiting their rides on race days like this would allow them to conserve energy for crucial races.

  1. #6 IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING COMING OUT OF THIS DAY ON A REGULAR RACE DAY EVERY RACE STARTS 10-15 MINUTES PASSED POST TIME WHICH VERY ANNOYING AND UNPROFESSIONAL HOPE THIS TYPE OF INDISCIPLINE BEHAVIOR NEVER RETURN TO THE TRACK BECAUSE IT ALSO AFFECTS HORSES RACING WITH LASIX
