KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jockey Linton Steadman produced a fighting effort to get home 28-1 outsider Ameer in the sixth race at the Century Mile race track in Canada, on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Ameer found success on the dirt in a 6 ½ furlong call.
The post-race report reads as follows: “AMEER reserved off the pace while saving ground through the turn, tipped out three wide at the head of the lane, closed well down the stretch, dueled with the runner-up for the final eighth, and prevailed at the wire.”
