KINGSTON, Jamaica – Racing for the second time Vanessa, a three-year-old roan filly by Western Classic – Verify release the maiden tag in style in the Caymanas Saturday nightcap (tenth).
The nightcap was Division Two of a three-year-old Maiden Condition event run over four furlongs.
With Dick Cardenas in the saddle for champion trainer Anthony Nunes, Vanessa drawn on the outside went to the front from the time the gates were opened and the race was finished from then with Vanessa winning by 4 ¾ lengths.
Quiet Boss (Jordan Barrett) was second and then there was dead heat for third involving Cataba and Lady Pujarie.
