KINGSTON, Jamaica – Twenty horses have been provisionally entered in the 10-furlong St Leger Classic event scheduled to be contested at Caymanas Park on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
The St Leger presents the first opportunity this season for three-year-old fillies and colts and geldings to race against each other in a Classic event.
Leading the way are the recent winners of the 1000 Guineas – Atomica – and 2000 Guineas – Blue Vinyl. In three-year-old Classic races, namely the St Leger and the Jamaica Derby, fillies are given a two-kilogramme weight advantage.
