KINGSTON, Jamaica - The eighth race of ten on Saturday, July 20, 2024, is for thre-year-maiden call in which eight horses are entered.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the eight starters is provided below in post-position order.

- QUEEN VAUNA is a bay filly (born on April 8) by Savoy Stomp out of Trinket Box. She is trained by Oneil Markland with Youville Pinnock as the jockey. Queen Vauna races with blinkers on and cheekpieces off. In her five starts, she has not shown much promise to suggest a win, even in this field.

- SEA OF BLUE is a bay filly (born on March 30) by Casual Trick out of Blue Saphira. Trained by Patrick Lynch with Delroy Beharie as the jockey, she has not come close to winning in her three starts and therefore cannot be recommended.

- ROCK-OLA is a chestnut colt (born on April 3) by Bold Conquest out of Kitty Hawk. Trained by Michael Marlowe with Shane Richardson as the jockey, Rock-Ola performed poorly on July 8 over nine furlongs and 25 yards. With 10 races under his belt, racing a mile is expected to be more suitable. This presents the best opportunity for Rock-Ola to secure a victory.

- SOLO BLACK is a bay colt (born on March 14) by Northern Giant out of Late N Drafty. Trained by Lawrence Freemantle with Oshane Nugent as the jockey, he requires more time to develop.

- GO WEST YOUNG MAN is a bay colt (born on May 23) by Western Warrior out of Uncle Tammy. Trained by Tensang Chung with Matthew Bennett as the jockey, he finished second in a commendable manner at 6 ½ furlongs race on July 7. However, racing over a mile may be challenging as it is the first time for Go West Young Man to race over this distance.

- DESIGN DIVA is a bay filly (born on May 31) by Savoy Stomp out of Tashara. Trained by Anthony Dixon with Tevin Foster as the jockey, she finished 22 lengths behind, losing ground in the final furlong of a nine furlongs and 25 yards race. It would take a significant change in form for Design Diva to secure a win in this race.

- THE SOUL WARRIOR is a roan colt (born on March 21) by Storm Craft out of Amanda Panda. Trained by Phillip Lee with Oneil Mullings as the jockey, based on past performances, The Soul Warrior faces a tough challenge and is unlikely to perform well in the upcoming race.

- SHELLY THE ROCKET is a chestnut filly (born on February 3) by Tapilu out of My Queen. Trained by Renex Burrell with Roger Hewitt as the jockey, Shelly The Rocket races with a tongue tie on. Unfortunately, she has no realistic chance of success.
