KINGSTON, Jamaica – The seventh race on Saturday, November 4, 2023,  features a three-year-old maiden call spanning 5 ½ furlongs.

Seven maidens have entered, with The Quick Galloper providing the analysis below.

1 – TEXAS METAL: This bay colt (May 10) by Midnight Hawk is trained by Omar Williams with Jerome Innis as the jockey. After not racing since July 9, Texas Metal was declared sick for an October 7 race. He has little chance of winning.

2 – CRUCIAL ALEXXYA: A grey filly (March 8) by Admiral Alex out of Crucial Cat trained by Carl Anderson with Raddesh Roman riding. Her fourth-place finish (5 furlongs straight) on October 21 continues her consistent performances. Crucial Alexxya deserves respect and is a strong candidate for exacta and trifecta wagers.

3 – HEDGE CRAFT: This dark bay colt (May 14) by Hedge Fund out of Aretha is trained by Welsh Soutar with Chalrick Budhai as the jockey. Impressive debut on October 14 (four furlongs), finishing second behind Exotic Light and ahead of Lady Ramdularie. Hedge Craft may improve, but racing a furlong and a half longer could be challenging.

4 – LADY RAMDULARIE: A chestnut filly (May 5) by Midnight Hawk out of Lady Najariya trained by Howard Jaghai with Tevin Foster aboard. Consistently on the board in her last three outings, Lady Ramdularie has a great opportunity to win in this event. She possesses speed and will be difficult to catch. Note: Lady Ramdularie races with a tongue tie.

5 – MR WONDERFUL: This bay colt (May 7) by Bern Identity Identity out of Angel Dreams is trained by Donovan Plummer with Shamaree Muir as the jockey. With no notable performances in six races, a winning effort is unlikely. Note: Mr Wonderful races with blinkers on and the figure eight off.

6 – CAPTAIN PHILIP: A chestnut colt (April 8) by Hedge Fund out of Kandi With A K, trained by Gary Griffiths with Oshane Nugent riding. His inconsistent form renders him untrustworthy.

7 – PHINY: A bay colt (January 7) by Nasheet out of One Stop, trained by Ricardo Brown with Richard Byrd in the saddle. As a newcomer, he will be observed closely.
