KINGSTON, Jamaica – True Al Sky made full use of the late withdrawal of the fancied pair of Big Jule and She’s My Destiny to win the Caymanas Saturday seventh.

The Caymanas Saturday seventh was a nine furlongs and 25 yards contest for three-year-olds (non-winners of three races).

It was Sudden Flight (Jordan Barrett) who set the early splits as soon as the gates opened.

Down the backstretch Awesome Choice (Jerome Innis) took over with Princess Lizzy (Ricardo Duhaney) rushing up to be second with True Al Sky trained by Alford Brown brushing the rails in third.

After leaving the half-mile point in the race, Ellis sent True Al Sky on the rails to challenge Awesome Choice who was running a plucky race.

With her never say die attitude, Awesome Choice kept going with a furlong and a half remaining which was when Ellis and True Al Sky gained the ascendency. Ture Al Sky won by four lengths with Awesome Choice second and Princess Lizzy third.

This was the second winner on the day for Ellis.
