KINGSTON, Jamaica – It has been a day to remember for trainer Steven Todd as after reaching the milestone of 200 winners he saddled his third winner on the day with Awesome Choice in the Caymanas Saturday seventh a short while ago.
Awesome Choice (Anthony Thomas) watched as blazing first quarter split of 22.4 was set by the imported Awesome Boy (Ameth Robles).
Awesome Boy was followed early by Alimony (Omar Walker) and Awesome Choice.
In the straight Awesome Boy packed it in early as Alimony got himself in front but that was short-lived as Thomas produced Awesome Choice who had to be ridden out to hold the late burst of One Don (Dane Dawkins), recovering from a bad start.
Third was Alimony.
The winning time was 1:15.0 on what seems to be a slow track.
