KINGSTON, Jamaica – Eight-year-old chestnut gelding Jamai Raja made use of his known speed ability to gain his ninth victory from 63 starts in the Caymanas Saturday fourth.

The Caymanas Saturday fourth was at the top claiming level ($1,000,000 - $800,000), going 7 ½ furlongs.

Ridden by Samantha Fletcher for trainer Nicholas Smith, Jamai Raja as was to be expected set off in front when the starter pushed the start button.

It was smooth sailing for the gelding down the backstretch with Fletcher easy in the saddle.

The duo turned for home with the lead and although Jamai Raja got tired in the last half-a-furlong, causing Fletcher to did deep, he had enough to get to the line by 1 ½ lengths with Garrincha (Omar Walker) second and Wilson (Everton Miller) third.

This was the second winner in the four races thus far on the Saturday card for trainer Nicholas Smith.
