Boss Izzy, under the guidance of jockey Omar Walker, made a comeback to claim victory in the five-year-old and upward Claiming ($180,000-$150,000) event. The race also featured native-bred six-year-olds and upward (non-winners of two) over 5 ½ furlongs.
Silverstine finished in second place, with Nez Perce (ridden by Shane Richardson) coming in third. The final time for the race was 1:13.0 (24.1 x 49.1).
