KINGSTON, Jamaica - Despite lacking the firepower of previous years, former three-time champion trainer Anthony Nunes expressed satisfaction with his staff's performance in 2023.
"Everyone knows I strive to win the championship every year.
“When I defeated Jason DaCosta in 2021, I acknowledged he would dominate for a long time, but that doesn't mean I won't try to win each year," the former champion explained.
Regarding 2023, Nunes stated that it was a testing year.
"My barn isn't as large as it once was, but that's alright. Our goal remains to pursue the championship.
“The stable team has worked diligently with the resources available and achieved success. I am pleased with our accomplishments in the 2023 season, punctuated by several notable victories.
We eagerly anticipate an even better 2024 filled with more triumphs," Nunes concluded.
