KINGSTON, Jamaica – After 14 starts dating back to her two-year-old days, Tina’s Account (Oshane Nugent) earned her first win in the Caymanas Wednesday fourth.
Trained by Phillip Elliott, Tina’s Account's first success was among fillies only (Maiden Special Weight) going five furlongs straight.
Nugent kept mount to the outside after leaving post position number eight (nine runners) with a slew of horses including Unwritten Law (Youville Pinnock) and others setting the stage upfront with quick splits of 22.3 x 45.3.
On the main track, Nugent kept Tina’s Account in a straight line to win by 1 ¾ lengths. Chiney Music (Samantha Fletcher) from the one draw finished with Letters In Gold (Matthew Bennett) third.
The winning time was 59.2, a fast clocking for this group.
