KINGSTON, Jamaica - On Saturday, June 22, 2024, the third race is for locally bred three-year-olds (non-winners of two - Division 2) and maiden three-year-old and older foreign fillies and mares.

It will take place over a distance of 6 ½ furlongs.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment is given below.

1 - SIPPIN ON SUNSHINE is a bay filly (born on April 23) by Sunshine N Shadow out of Casual Drink, trained by Nicholas Wehby with Aaron Chatrie aboard. She has participated in this class once without making much of an impact. She is expected to improve over time.

2 - CHESNEY is a chestnut filly (born in the USA on April 14) by Solomini out of El Coyote, trained by Steven Todd with Robert Halledeen riding. She has yet to show much in her five starts but is expected to improve with experience.

3 - DON’T TELL LOU LOU is a bay filly (born on May 8) by Savoy Stomp out of Lastochka, trained by Howard Baily with Omar Walker as the jockey. Don’t Tell Lou Lou races without blinkers and with a tongue tie. This filly is struggling is most of her races with no improvement expected.

4 - ROSETTA is a roan filly (born on April 6) by Bold Conquest out of Khadiliah, trained by Jason DaCosta with Josue Osorio as the jockey. She is entering the non-two class for the first time after a prolonged period of getting close to getting off the mark. Rosetta is improving and can strike in this one.

5 - QUEEN OF SOUL is a chestnut filly (born on May 25) by Soul Warrior out of Aretha, trained by Anthony Nunes with Raddesh Roman as the jockey. Health issues have affected her development, but she is expected to show her talent if she is in proper condition.

6 - KAYLYN MELODY is a bay filly (born on May 19) by Casual Trick out of Darlin, trained by Robert Pearson with Shavon Townsend aboard. She has previously won in the stewards’ room and is starting a new learning curve at the non-two class.

7 - RICHES TO RAGS is a chestnut filly (born on April 21) by Union Rags out of Place Des Vosges, trained by Philip Feanny with Reyan Lewis as the jockey. She has consistently performed well in her previous starts and is expected to be a strong contender for this race.

8 - BUTTERCUP is a bay filly (born on February 2) by Conquest Cherimash out of Shahar, trained by Richard Azan with Shane Richardson in the saddle. She has faced difficulties as a three-year-old and is not expected to perform well in this race.

9 - CLEOPATRA QUEEN is a bay filly (born in the USA on March 16) by St Patrick’s Day out of Caribbean Queen, trained by Alford Brown with Oneil Mullings as the listed jockey. She struggled at a longer distance in her previous race but is expected to perform better at the shorter distance of this race.
