TIFFANY Blu, conditioned by trainer Gary Crawford, returned to winning ways with a 2½-length victory in the opening event on Saturday, January 31, 2025. The success marked a welcome turnaround for the five-year-old bay mare, who endured a barren spell of seven consecutive defeats during the previous season.

The contest was a Restricted Allowance IV for native-bred five-year-olds and upward (non-winners of three) and imported five-year-olds and upward (non-winners of two), run over 5½ furlongs (1,100m). Tiffany Blu’s triumph was her third career win from 18 starts.

Guided by jockey Raddesh Roman, Tiffany Blu broke cleanly from the gates and settled in fourth position behind early leaders Tornados Steel (Omar Walker), Shine for Me (Demar Williams), and Bobbytwobad (Tevin Foster). Patiently handled, she maintained her rhythm before advancing into third place approaching the final bend.

Once into the stretch run, Tiffany Blu quickened decisively, surging past rivals to seize control and maintain her advantage to the finish. Rock-Ola (Tajay Suckoo) closed late for second, while Chief Dissident (Shavon Townsend) secured third. The winning time was recorded at 1:16.1 (23.3 x 48.3 x 1:02.1).

The victory also provided Crawford with his first success of the 2026 racing season.
