KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fourth race on Saturday, February 4, 2023, is a three-year-old non-winners of two for locally bred horses and maiden foreigners over the five straight course.

Seven horses are entered to battle in this event.

The Quick Galloper’s analysis is provided below.

1 – BAZINGA is a bay filly (April 15) by Successful Native out of Queen of Bagdad trained by Philip Feanny with Anthony Thomas aboard. Bazinga can be considered a non-winner of three, as in her first outing (December 10), she was badly hampered by the gates. Since then, Bazinga won her first race on January 15. Seems to be a progressive sort, with lots of room for improvement, and can easily make it win number two.

2 – BULLETPROOFCOFFEE is a bay filly (USA February 16) by He Be Fire N Ice by Plan A Surprise trained by Owen Sharpe with Jerome Innis in the saddle. Has not been exciting in the mornings, with this outing being one of acclimatization.

3 – SISTER D is a dark bay filly (USA May 20) by Brethren out of Invidia trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins in the saddle. Still trying to find her place on local soil. Note, Sister D races with figure 8 on.

4 – AWESOME ANTHONY is a chestnut colt (March 27) by Soul Warrior out of Antoinette trained by Patrick Taylor with Trevor Simpson aboard. Has issues dealing with the starting gates as evidenced by his last effort six days ago. If Awesome Anthony can deal with his problem at the gates, then his chance of winning is greatly increased.

5 – VOLATILITY is a bay filly (March 10) by Hedge Fund out of Fashionista trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster aboard.

Got the job done in her third run beating Whizz Kidd and Smooth Aviator. Has been active at exercise and will figure in the outcome. Note, Volatility races with the figure 8 on.

6 – ATLANTIC CONVOY is a chestnut colt (USA April 29) by Stormy Atlantic out of My Sweet Emily trained by Patrick Lynch with Jordan Barrett aboard. Said to be advanced in his preparation for his first outing in Jamaica. Expected to be there when the winning post arrives.

7 – MAJOR DANGER is a bay colt (USA May 25) by Majestic City out of Clean Eleven trained by Anthony Dixon with Javaniel Patterson in the saddle. Needs time.
