KINGSTON, Jamaica - On the day when the feature race is the Errol ‘Big Sub’ Memorial Trophy it was another Subratie, this time trainer Anthony known in racing circles as ‘Little Sub’, who won the Caymanas Tuesday first with Samora - the 4-5 favourite.

Ridden by veteran Devon A Thomas, Samora’s third victory in succession came in a five-year-old and upwards Claiming ($180,000 - $150, 000) contest travelling 4 ½ furlongs.

From the get go, Thomas had Samora in a prominent position and after crossing over onto the main track, the nine-year-old roan horses skittered away to win by 2 ¾ lengths. The winning time was 56.1 seconds.

Rockdale (Abigail Able) at 12-1 finished second with Smokescreen (Linton Steadman) third at 8-5.
