KINGSTON, Jamaica - Stanislaus, trained by Courtney Williams and ridden by Anthony Thomas, romped home to his third-consecutive win in a three-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming ($250,000-$200,000) at five furlongs (1000m) straight.
Stanislaus showed good speed at the start of the race along with Breaking Storm (Roger Hewitt), Chitu Prince (Javaniel Patterson), and Lion Talk (Oshane Nugent). As the runners sorted themselves out passing the dummy rails Stanislaus began to draw away from rivals and went on to win by three lengths.
Three Card Guy (Kerry-Gayl Robinson) came on for second place ahead of Lion Talk in third place. The final time for the event was 1:04.4 (24.4 x 48.4).
