KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was a sedate start to today’s nine race card at Caymanas Park as the well-fancied (5-2) Vampire Rejection ran out an easy winner.
With Dane Nelson in the saddle for trainer Donovan Plummer, Vampire Rejection went into an early lead and was never headed.
St Michael (Paul Francis) raced alongside Vampire Rejection for most of the way but in the straight that effort petered out leaving the winner to get home by six lengths. The 22-1 chance Doctor Grey who raced at the back of the field for most of the way ran on for third.
