Patriarch leads the way
KINGSTON, Jamaica – After close to three months of racing inclusive of 19 race days in 2022, only one horse Patriarch has won three races.
Patriarch has the distinction of winning three races from his three starts thus far this season. Patriarch, a credit to his trainer Fitzgerald Richards, has acquired earnings of $2,102,100, to be the top earner.
Looking at the list of top ten earners in 2022, Calculus occupies the second slot with two wins from three starts, and stakes of $1,747,200.
Filling out the top three is Eagle One with two victories from five starts and earnings of $1,532,500.
On the top 10 list , there are four foreign-bred horses, Eagle One (number 3), I’ve Got Magic (number 5), Runaway Algo, and Crafty and Ready (number 9). Runaway Algo has also won three races.
Among the list at this stage of the game, are claimers, Uncle Vinnie, Acero, and Blood Fire.
Expect major changes among the top earners in the next two to three months when the three-year-old Classics races and the major preps will be contested. Usually, the three-year-olds dominate this list.
