Age group race divided into two sections
KINGSTON, Jamaica – As the steam of the three-year-old season begins to gather momentum, the race meeting of Saturday, March 26, 2022, sees a coming out of 20 three-year-olds running in two sections of a maiden condition contest for fillies only. The distance of this race is 5 ½ furlongs.
Saturday’s card is the annual renewal of Grooms’ Association Day, with races named in honour of grooms. The Grooms' Association Trophy is the feature.
The first three-year-old event (please note race numbers listed on the Overnight are subject to change) has 10 horses nominated with two first-time starters; Pretty Girl, trained by Jason DaCosta, and English Anne trained by Welsh Soutar.
Pretty Girl is a chestnut filly by Deputy Glitters out of Runaway Queen, and English Anne is also a chestnut filly by Buzz Nightmare out of Veryhushhush.
The second three-year-old race has ten horses nominated with three of those ten racing for the first time. The new runners are Never On A Sunday trained by Maurice Crooks; She’s Hall Dat trained by Al Brown, and The Exodus trained by Steven Todd.
Never On A Sunday is a bay filly by Midnight Hawk out of Kenzie’s Charm; She’s Hall Dat is a chestnut filly by Market Rally out of Noassemblyrequired, and The Exodus is a dark bay filly by Fearless Vision out of Special Report.
