Jordon Reign's put on a commendable performance in his return to racing on Sunday, May 19th, 2024.
After a long layoff of 204 days, Jordon Reign's dominated the field, winning "comfortably by 1 ½ lengths in a time of 1:00.1.
However, trainer of Jordon Reign’s Peter-John Parsard highlights there's room for improvement.
"Jordon Reign's was not fully ready for his Sunday run, requiring probably another gallop to be at the top of his game," he admits. Despite that, Parsard credits Jordon Reign's progress during the break, noting, "he is much fitter now, and we have been taking special care of him."
The victory is a positive sign, but Parsard's focus remains on Jordon Reign's long-term health.
"I am so pleased with his win on Sunday; he ran like before and won without any fuss," Parsard says. However, the trainer adds, "there is no race readily available in the immediate future based on the projections, so he will have to wait until probably July before racing again."
Parsard's plan is clear: prioritise Jordon Reign's well-being. "Now my task as the trainer is clear," he states. "We at the stables will be doing everything to protect Jordon Reign's."
