KINGSTON, Jamaica – Hitting the front from the time the gates opened, El Gringo with apprentice Raddesh Roman in the saddle made every post a winning one in the 12th of 12 as the curtains came down on fascinating day of racing at Caymanas Park.
El Gringo held on doggedly as Latapy (second) with Linton Steadman and Rohan Kabir (third) ridden by Reyan Lewis coming with strong efforts in the 7 ½ furlongs event for three-year-olds for Restricted Allowance horses – non-winners of two.
Trainer Donovan Russell was a man full of glee as he led in his 42-1 upset winner.
This was the second winner on the day for Roman.
