KINGSTON, Jamaica – For this Saturday's (April 16) race meet, THE QUICK WHISPERER continues the trend of zoning in on the exacta wager. Other bets are also included but the emphasis will be on the exactas.
Three races (the first, the sixth, and the ninth) are targeted on the Saturday card of April 16.
The first race is a maiden condition contest going the two turns of nine furlongs and 25 yards. This is the first time that the three-year-olds will be racing over two turns. The ante-post favourite is El Cid with Shane Ellis in the saddle for champion trainer Anthony Nunes and rightly so. If El Cid is used as the main betting option, then is it wise to put the other Nunes horse in the event, Asurety for the exacta. Add Secret Emperor for the exacta and the trifecta.
The sixth race is a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) at 6 ½ furlongs. Prosecco with Dane Dawkins aboard for trainer Patrick Lynch will more than likely start as the favourite. This race, however, has 12 starters, and should not produce an odds-on favourite. THE QUICK WHISPERER is choosing Prosecco along with Mental Warfare and Faukland for the exacta and the trifecta. Place a buck or two on Prosecco to win.
The ninth race is a four-year-old maiden contest with 15 horses entered. Sabina, Pro Johnny, Queen Zan, Flame Carrier, and Dotlin are expected to carry most of the betting. Having surveyed the runners in the nightcap, THE QUICK WHISPERER is offering an exacta box with Sabina, Queen Zan and, Pro Johnny. To this exacta add Dotlin for the trifecta and the superfecta.
