THE BETTING
Three bettors were able to catch the Reggae-6 with each receiving a payout of $1,029,102, that is, three more millionaires.
A lot of credit has to be given to these three Reggae-6 winners, who were able to survive through:

Then there was one winner of the Twilight-6, who must be given a massive shout-out for finding the six winners from Race 4 to Race 9.

THE HORSES
Peking Cruz after being claimed by trainer Ian Parsard on last from trainer Richard Azan and running in a $1 million claimer reignited some of the qualities he is known for by out speeding and outlasting rivals while in demolition mode. And, yes Peking Cruz was claimed from the race.
Then there is Dee Danger who gracefully walked into the winners’ enclosure for the 12th time from only 31 lifetime starts. This six-year-old bay gelding has now earned over $6 million in stakes, which is quite an achievement.
The highest-rated race on the day was the Labour Day Trophy (seven furlongs) for Overnight horses. The improving foreigner Eagle One trained by Jason DaCosta conquered Overnight at the second time of asking and did so from in front under careful guidance from Dick Cardenas.
In the same race Double Crown who was returning from a four-month break encountered some traffic issues and was unable to recoup finishing fifth.
While Excessive Force, the favourite, dissipated all his chances of winning by again going miles wide coming into the lane and then running on only to be beaten by ¾ length and a neck after finishing third. That behavioural problem has to be dealt with quickly if Excessive Force is to progress and realise his true potential.
THE TRAINERS
Ian Parsard took the honours with two wins, Dejae’s Boy and Peking Cruz. This seems to be a breakout season for Parsard who has saddle 15 winners overall.
Jason DaCosta who officially started to race horses locally in April has saddled 16 winners.
Interesting days are ahead.
