DAHRA DEBORAH IS OFF THE MARK
Dahra Deborah (Liquidity – Sunshine Girl), after seven starts, found herself in front at the wire, winning a native-bred five-year-old and upwards Maiden Condition event at 4 ½ furlongs (900m).
It was an even start for most of the seven runners with apprentice Shavon Townsend positioned the Anthony Smith-owned and trained Dahra Deborah well and held the early lead ahead of Euphoria (Hakeem Pottinger), Dr Sahir Alexander (Jawara Steadman), and Savitar (Shane Richardson).
Dahra Deborah stayed with rivals for a short while before pulling away coming across the dummy rails. However, inside the final furlong, Dahra Deborah began to shorten but she had done enough to hold on by 1 ½ lengths ahead of Valiant (Roger Hewitt), with Savitar third. The final time was recorded at 58.0 seconds.
BACK-TO-BACK WINS FOR UNCLE VINNIE
Trained by Dennis Pryce, eight-year-old dark bay horse Uncle Vinnie won his second consecutive race in a three-year-old and upwards claiming ($750,000-$600,000) spread over 7 ½ furlongs (1,500m).
Leaving the intersection at the seven-furlong (1,400m) pole, Uncle Vinnie was held tightly by Dane Nelson in third place behind Musketoon (Devon A Thomas) and Biblical Legend (Chris Mamdeen). Uncle Vinnie maintained his steady gallop down the backstretch as Hijo Primero (Romario Spencer) went through to challenge the leader.
Uncle Vinnie slipped into second place in chase of Musketoon going into the half-mile turn before snatching the lead entering the straight. Uncle Vinnie went on to win by 5 ¼ lengths in a time of 1:36.1.
Blood Fire (Andre Powell) came on late for second place, three parts of a length ahead of Secret Traveller (Kiaman McGregor) in the third spot.
ALEXA’S DREAM COMES GOOD WITH EQUIPMENT CHANGE
Alexa’s Dream, running with the tongue-tie off for the first time in eight career starts, led home rivals in a four-year-old and upwards Restricted Allowance (non-winners of two) contest going 4 furlongs (800m).
Ridden by Christopher Mamdeen for trainer Robert Pearson, Alexa’s Dream (Berlino Di Tiger – Alexa’s Song) dashed to the front ahead of Jahsendblessings (Robert Halledeen).
Alexa’s Dream then accelerated inside the final furlong to win going further and further away by 5 ¾ lengths in a smooth time of 47.1.

RUM WITH ME IN TASTY VICTORY
Returning from a six-month break, the Patrick Lynch-owned and trained Rum With Me immediately went to the winners’ enclosure after a triumphant effort in a five-year-old and upwards Restricted Allowance (non-winners of four) at five furlongs straight.
Rum With Me was unable to go with the early speedsters and settled behind the front runners as Basilicus (Tevin Foster) lead the race ahead of Danny Spud (Javaniel Patterson) and K D Rocket (Dane Dawkins).
Entering the main track, Rum With Me began to lengthen strides and got himself into a striking position on the outside of runners. With a furlong to go, Rum With Me caught up with rivals and then pulled away to win by 2 ½ lengths.
