HORSES
There is only one first time runner in the eleven races to be contested.
In the third race Lion of Ekati a US bred dark brown colt by Tale of Ekati – Indian Conduct trained by Jason DaCosta makes his first appearance.
JOCKEYS
Anthony Thomas along with the other leading riders are again dominating with the number of rides they have been able to get on the 11-race card.
Thomas leads the way with nine rides missing only the second and the tenth race.
Robert “Hardball” Halledeen comes in second with seven rides, so too Javaniel Patterson.
The inform Phillip Parchment will mount up six times, while Roger Hewitt leads the batch of apprentices by going into the saddle on five occasions.

Of note is that second in the jockeys’ championship Dick Cardenas has been able to get only four rides on the day.
TRAINERS
The throbbing and close duel to wear the 2021 trainers’ crown involving champion Anthony Nunes and Jason DaCosta continues on Saturday.
DaCosta is ahead in the contest by $1,559,795 (DaCosta 55,252,905 - $53,693,110) according to the official figures.
In the eleven races DaCosta has runners is six while Nunes saddles in three races.
Doing quite a bit work on the day are trainers Patrick Lynch with horses in five races, the same as Gary Subratie.
