KINGSTON, Jamaica – KINGSTON, Jamaica - On Saturday, August 19, 2023, Coalition claimed victory in Division 1 of a native-bred three-year-old maiden race at 7 furlongs after four career starts on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Positioned second behind Princess Akilah (Youville Pinnock) at the start, Coalition maintained a steady pace alongside Golden Loyalty (Javaniel Patterson) and Skyrizi (Andree Powell).
As they approached the half-mile mark, Skyrizi surged ahead in an attempt to outpace the field. Jockey Raddesh Roman urged Coalition forward, eventually overtaking Skyrizi near the top of the lane, securing a one and a quarter length win.
The Bees Knees (Shavon Townsend) finished in second place, followed by Sweet Victory (Phillip Parchment) in third. The final time was 1:31.1 (24.2 x 48.1 x 1:15.0).
