KINGSTON, Jamaica – Markofaprince held on to win for the 13th occasion from 55 career starts in the Caymanas Saturday third.

Markofaprince raced over four furlongs straight with leading rider Anthony Thomas aboard for champion trainer Anthony Nunes. The event was for five-year-old and upwards claimers ($180,000 - $150,000).

As expected Markofaprince shot out of the gates with the lead which he held to the end although visibly shutting down in the last part of the contest. After winning by half-a-length, Thomas had to dismount walking Markofaprince to the winners’ enclosure.

Secret Law (Ramon Nepare) finished second while Ballon d’or was third.
