KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a well-timed run, champion jockey Dane Dawkins watched as Mamma Mia, a stablemate, set the early fractions in The Portmore (7 ½ furlongs) in front of 1-2 favourite Bootylicious before striking in the lane to win The Portmore, which was the Caymanas Saturday, May 6, 2023, ninth.
Mamma Mia held for second with Aria’s Reign third. It was a one-two finish for trainer Jason DaCosta and his fourth winner on the day.
