Eliminated with no chance of finding the winning post in front are Uncle Vinnie although racing with the visor on and the cheekpieces off; Secret Traveller who rightly belongs in the claiming ranks; Sebastian – devoid of form; Dada’s Nala – does not belong in this one and former Derby winner Drone Strike, who is having difficulties finding his best form after dealing with injuries.
After that process of elimination, Marquesas, Messi, Big Bang, Master of Hall, Supreme Soul, Rohan Kabir, and Hover Craft.
Marquesas is dropping down in class but is rounding into some form. He has handled these before and will enjoy the two turns. Marquesas bears close watching.
Messi has had his Overnight difficulties and has taken his time finding his way. Messi is getting there and is worth an each way wager.
Big Bang was just half-a-length behind Roy Rogers at a mile 14 days ago and will not be averse going a furlong longer. With Dane Nelson in the saddle, Big Bang is given every chance of winning.
Master of Hall is talented but has changed stables and with his known issues with injuries, Master of Hall chances of winning are slim but he has the talent and if in the right mood can play a part in the outcome.
Supreme Soul races on Sunday with the figure eight on. This former Triple Crown winner has not been himself for a long while. Finished well behind Big Bang on March 7 and will have to depend on his past form and class to win.
Rohan Kabir has an outside chance of winning.
Hover Craft was a winner by 17 lengths in top claiming at this distance just seven days and moves up once again to a level which the old-timer knows very well.
Difficult to find the winner with the first three likely to come from Marquesas, Big Bang, and Supreme Soul.
The winning point is given to Supreme Soul.
