Supreme Court of Jamaica Rules In Favour Of Samantha Fletcher Against JRC

KINGSTON, Jamaica—The Supreme Court of Jamaica upheld the case of Samantha Fletcher (the Claimant) against Jamaica Racing Commission (the Defendant) today (November 29).

The Supreme Court adjudged to:

1 - Quash the decision of The Defendant which was made on March 7, 2024.

2 - Quash the decision of The Defendant which was made on March 21, 2023.

3 - Costs are awarded to The Claimant against The Defender and are to be taxed if not sooner agreed.

4 - The Claimant’s Attorney-at-Law is to prepare, file and serve these orders.

Quickgallopja.com has confirmed that jockey Samantha Fletcher has been suspended for 25 race days.

The 25-race day suspension was handed to Fletcher today (Tues, Mar 7, 2023) by the regulatory body of racing – the Jamaica Racing Commission.

Fletcher received the suspension for not riding her mount on merit.
