KINGSTON, Jamaica - Three-year-old bay colt, Supremasi by Savoy Stomp out of Beware Baby making a half-brother to Bigdaddykool signed his name in the winner’s registry with an encouraging come-from-behind victory on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Racing against seven rivals in a three-year-old maiden call at six and a half furlongs with Raddesh Roman in the saddle for trainer Anthony Nunes, Supremasi raced at the back of the field.

Moving steadily round the curve, Supremasi went wide and then found his best steps to go by the competition with relative ease winning in a time of 1:22.1 with splits of 23.2 x 47.4 x 1:14.0.

“Supremasi is still green, still learning the ways of competitive racing.

“His effort on Saturday (May 25) was pleasing and bodes well for future endeavours. Supremasi is one, we believe who will be more effective going longer, so let us see how he develops,” trainer Nunes said.

As to the participation of Supremasi in the upcoming Classics.

‘The 2000 Guineas is just a week away so that is much too early for him. So, our attention will be placed on possibly the 10-furlong Jamaica St Leger in July and the 12-furlong Jamaica Derby in August,” Nunes told Quickgallopja.com.
