KINGSTON, Jamaica – Super Duper a bay filly by Natural Selection – Patara won the first two-year-old race of the season a short while ago in the second of 10 races at Caymanas Park.
Seven ‘babies’ where in the starting gates when the starter let them in the maiden contest run over three furlongs straight.
Ridden by Phillip Parchment and trained by Wayne DaCosta, Super Duper broke well as Awesome Choice (Sensational Slam – Lipstick Lily) produced better early speed.
When the young ones settled after a furlong Parchment pushed Super Duper to the lead and that was that for the rest.
Second was Awesome Choice (Omar Walker) with Prince Marshall (Paul Francis) third.
